The biennial polls for two Rajya Sabha seats from Punjab including one held by Union minister Ambika Soni will be held on June 17, state election office said today.
Term of Soni and that of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) member Rajmohinder Singh is coming to an end on July four.
Notification for the polls will be issued on May 31 and June 7 will be last date for nominations, a state election office spokesman said.
Scrutiny of papers will take place on June eight while last date for withdrawal of candidatures will be June 10, he added.
The election process will be completed on June 19, the spokesman said.
