Bigg Boss-fame Haryana lad set to make Bollywood debut

Sangram Singh (29), who featured in reality TV show Bigg Boss and hails from Madina village in the district, is set to make his Bollywood debut after formally signing a contract with Dhanraj Films Pvt Limited, the makers of Ankur Arora Murder case in 2013.

Sangram, who shot to fame after his small-screen presence in several TV serials, including 100 percent, De Dhana Dhan, Big TOSS, Guinness World Records and Survivor India, has been associated with an NGO spreading awareness on good health. He had participated in both amateur and professional wrestling championships.

Talking to HT, Sangram, who hails from an agrarian family, said, "My career got a boost after Bigg Boss and Bollywood star Salman Khan guided me to take right steps in the right direction by associating with theme-based movie projects."

Sharing details of the movie he has signed recently and is tentatively titled 'Vande Mataram', Sangram said he would be playing a central character in the film, who sensitises youths to shun drug addiction and other bad habits spoiling their career and lives." The major portion of the film would be shot in New Delhi.

He said besides other known personalities, Kay Kay Menon, who played a key role in 'Ankur Arora Murder Case', has also been associated with the film.

Excited over his new venture, Sangram said he could witness this day owing to the grace of the Almighty as he was born a premature baby, followed by arthritis disease and then he had to cross one challenge after another to reach this position.

He also thanked Bollywood starlet Payal Rohtagi for supporting him during his days of struggle in B-town.
