Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) president of Kuldeep Bishnoi has ridiculed the poll promise made by the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) to provide free Scooty to girls, if it voted to power.
Addressing a rally at Indri, near here on Sunday, Bishnoi charged the INLD with making false promises as Haryana was already reeling under a debt of Rs 80,000 crore. “Such announcements are nothing but an attempt to misguide people. The INLD leadership is known to work to keep political interests of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) of Punjab,” he said. Bishnoi also dared chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to contest assembly elections from Indri and said the HJC would ensure his defeat.
At a public address in Indri last Monday, Hooda while wooing the voters, had said he was ready to contest from the assembly segment, if the party and local population accepted the same.
