Ruling out merger of the Haryana Janhit Congress with the Bharatiya Janata Party, HJC president Kuldeep Bishnoi on Wednesday said, "Though we got a jolt in the recent assembly elections, it is not the end of the road for us."
Talking to mediapersons, Bishnoi said, "We are back with renewed enthusiasm and spirit and vouch to work for the welfare of the people of the state."
It is surprising that two parties - Congress and INLD - having no principles were placed ahead of the HJC and the party that made false promises was voted to power, he said.
"We are committed to our values. People of Haryana are gullible and can be easily swayed by loud declarations of transparency and development. We shall soon launch a special campaign to tell people the reality of the party in power. We have been held back for a while but that does not mean that we have been stopped entirely," Bishnoi said, adding that his detractors and adversaries were spreading rumours.
