BJP MLA Dr Rajiv Bindal on Saturday ended his three-day fast against the Congress government's reported ignorance of Nahan constituency in developmental activities in the past one-and-half-year. Addressing the people after breaking his fast, Dr Bindal said that if needed BJP MLAs under the leadership of leader of opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal would stage a dharna against the sacristy of drinking water in Nahan constituency.

He alleged that there was a lack of coordination between electricity and irrigation and public health (IPH) departments for water supply in Nahan, but the Congress government has not been intentionally improving it. He warned that the drinking water and roads are the fundamental rights of the people and therefore, these issues would be taken at all cost. BJP MLA Suresh Kashyap (Pachhad) and Baldev Tomar (Shillai) also supported the drive of Dr Bindal.

The BJP blamed that administration did not bother to visit the spot, only formalities of health check-up were conducted. Those present during the breaking of fasting of Dr Bindal, included among others, were district president BJP Sukh Ram Chaudhary, former chairman of HP state cooperative bank Chander Mohan Thakur and Baldev Bhandari.
