A team of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) observers interviewed claimants of tickets from three districts for the upcoming assembly elections.

Rajiv Bindal, Meena Kamboj and Som Kamboj met the local BJP leaders from Kaithal, Panipat and Karnal and held separate sessions of detailed interviews at a private hotel in the city.

Nearly 500 leaders who had applied to contest from various seats had reached here for interviews.
Bindal, a BJP legislator from Nahan in Himachal Pradesh, told mediapersons that the party was on a strong footing in Haryana and hoped to form government in Haryana with full majority.

He denied that there was any rift in the leadership over the choice of candidates. Bindal said the feedback would be sent to the central leadership for its final word on the list of candidates.

"The BJP is a disciplined party where the national leadership always take feedback from the grassroot. But once a decision is taken it is always accepted. In Haryana also, there is excitement amongst the BJP cadre to register its victory in the upcoming elections but it wrong to say that there is any resentment," he said.
