Bright sunshine in several parts of Punjab and Haryana on Sunday raised the minimum temperatures by few notches in the region, dissipating the foggy conditions and providing relief from the on-going cold wave in the two states.

The minimum temperatures too in the region were close to normal limits, the MeT added.
Most of the flights and trains from the region are on schedule time, officials said.
The minimum temperatures hovered between one degree Celsius above normal to two notches below normal in the
region, the MeT office said.
Places in Haryana were warmer than its neighbour Punjab.
Bhiwani settled at a low of 8.2 degrees Celsius followed by 7.1 degrees Celsius at Patiala, seven degrees Celsius at
Hisar, 6.8 degrees Celsius at Chandigarh and 6.5 degrees Celsius at Ambala.
While Ludhiana had a low of five degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, the minimum temperature at Amritsar was
4.8 degrees Celsius.
Narnaul in Haryana settled at a low of six degrees Celsius which was one notch above normal.
The MeT forecast sunny days ahead in the region with rise in minimum temperatures.
