Canadian sports minister calls on Badal

Canadian minister of state for sports Bal Gosal on Wednesday called on Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and discussed the possibilities of further strengthening ties in sports, trade, education, agriculture, culture, tourism and business between Punjab and Canada.

Canadian minister of state for sports Bal Gosal on Wednesday called on Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and discussed the possibilities of further strengthening ties in sports, trade, education, agriculture, culture, tourism and business between Punjab and Canada.

Apprising the CM, who was accompanied by NRI affairs minister Bikram Singh Majithia, of the role played by Punjabis in the unprecedented development of Canada, Gosal said the immense and appreciable contribution of Punjabis in North America could not be overlooked.

Gosal, accompanied by his wife Pawanjit Gosal, is here to participate in the NRI Sammelan, to be hosted by the Punjab government on January 10 and 11 at Anandpur Sahib and Jalandhar.

Badal thanked Gosal for motivating Canadian immigrants to invest in Punjab in a big way.
