Newly-elected Amritsar MP, Captain Amarinder Singh, termed what Indian government was doing Indian nationals stranded in Iraq as "disorganized."

He said, "Our government has not been able to find out the exact number of Indians stuck in Iraq."

Singh said that the stranded people are not just from Punjab but other states too, including Haryana, Rajasthan and Jammu, and that it is the responsibility of government to do something for them.

When asked to comment on the fact that ministers from other countries had already reached there and were taking actions, he said, our ministers are yet to go Iraq.
