The UT police on Monday apprehended four juveniles for allegedly vandalising the windowpanes of a total of five vehicles in Ram Darbar, Phase 1, on Monday.

Complainant Rajinder Singh Gill, resident of Ram Darbar, said at around 3.30am, while he woke up to go for washroom, he heard the sound of breaking of car windows. When he went outside, he noticed a group of minors throwing stones on the vehicles parked outside his residence, while also fighting with each other.

While four were apprehended by police, one of them was apprehended by the complainant himself. He raised an alarm and police were called in after the area residents gathered there. One of them was nabbed on the spot, while others were detained later.

Meanwhile, a police official said that four were apprehended and later sent to juvenile home. However, one of them was released after he entered into a compromise with the complainant.
