To help students share and read study notes of different classes online, three city lads have come up with their own website.

The website was launched recently by Hardik Dhamija, Harman Bajaj, both graduates of University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, and Kunaal Satija, a graduate of SD College, Chandigarh.

The website was a result of their hard work for over one year.

On the website, www.edurev.in, a shorter version of education revolution, the students can share their study notes besides accessing similar study material of various coaching centres up to class twelve.

"In our school days, we had to study materials provided by our own school. The idea is to provide students with notes of various subjects from topmost schools, so that students can get acquainted with ways adopted by other schools," said, Hardik Dhamija.

The interested student will have to make an account on the website.

"When a student logs in, notes from various classes shared by students pops up on the webpage and he/she can go through material of his choice," added Dhamija, further stating that video lectures of various subjects were also available.

So far nearly 4,000 students from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh schools are accessing the website.

About the financial model, Dhamija said that so far they had been investing from their own pocket and nearly Rs 2 lakh have been spent from their own pocket.

"At some point when we have considerable number of users, we can go for advertisements to make it financially sustainable but it will not be made a paid site," said Dhamija.

The website also has some games to train the minds. The website has a question bank of more than 10,000 questions for competitive exams, aptitude, general knowledge, sports and even movies, besides, question papers of various competitive exams. Apart from that study notes of various coaching centres have been provided on the website.

Dhamija said that they would be coming up with a similar module for college students as well. Work on this regard is underway.
