To encourage art and culture in tricity, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi has announced annual scholarships for those between the age of 20 and 25.
To encourage art and culture in tricity, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi has announced annual scholarships for those between the age of 20 and 25.
Diwan Manna, akademi chairman, said scholarships would be given in disciplines like drawing, graphics, printmaking, installation, multi-media, painting, photography and sculpture. Applicants should be either studying or residing in Chandigarh, Panchkula or SAS Nagar.
Under the scholarships, candidates will be given Rs 4,000 each month for a year. The last date for submitting applications is December 11.
The scholarships are named after Amrita Sher-gill, Rabindra Nath Tagore, MS Randhawa, Le Corbusier, Mulk Raj Anand, Jamini Roy, FN Souza, J Swaminathan, Manjit Bawa, Sohan Qadri and Jagmohan Chopra.
The forms are available at Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi's office at the Sector-34 state library.
