Chandigarh: Lecture on cancer awareness at Panjab University

He spoke on 'cancer awareness: diet concerns'. Dr Ganesh familiarised the audience with the signs, symptoms and modalities to detect cancer, and also emphasised the phenomenal role of diet in prevention and management of arious cancerous disorders. The talk was attended by nearly 100 faculty members and research students among UIPS, departments of biosciences and general public.
Dr Ganesh has to his credit more than 85 publications and guidance of 220 doctoral and postgraduate students in various subjects like genetics, pharmacy, biotechnology, biochemistry, human genetics, life sciences, microbiology and medical psychiatrics.
Dr Ganesh is the recipient of various prestigious awards namely, Eminent Scientist Award for Orthotopic Tumor Model (2014); renowned oncogeneticist for his contributions to blood cancer patients; best social worker award in the field of cancer awareness by MPCOST (2014) and Khadimey Millat Award for best contribution in the field of cancer awareness and research. He has already organised more than 160 cancer awareness camps so far.
