Chautala's relative injured as BJP, INLD workers clash in Sirsa district

Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) chief Gopal Kanda’s car was attacked at Gaushala Mohalla in Sirsa town around 9.30am on Wednesday. As per reports, Kanda, who is contesting from Sirsa assembly segment against BJP Sunita Setia and INLD Makhan Lal Singla, was supervising the arrangements at the polling booth, when his car was attacked by some people owing allegiance to Indian National Lok Dal at Gushala Mohalla.

One person was injured in firing by a supporter of BJP candidate Sunita Setaia at Modia Khera village in Sirsa district on Wednesday. The injured, who has been identified as Sandeep is a relative of Ajay Singh Chautala.

Earlier, Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) chief Gopal Kanda’s car was attacked at Gaushala Mohalla in Sirsa town around 9.30am on Wednesday.

As per reports, Kanda, who is contesting from Sirsa assembly segment against BJP Sunita Setia and INLD Makhan Lal Singla, was supervising the arrangements at the polling booth, when his car was attacked by some people owing allegiance to Indian National Lok Dal at Gushala Mohalla.

However, Sirsa superintendent of police Mithesh Jain could not be contacted despite repeated attempts on his mobile phone.

Meanwhile, clashes were also reported between INLD and BJP supporters outside a polling station at Basgaon in Hisar.

Till 10 am, 12.3% voting has been recorded in Haryana.
