Reacting on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah repeated attacks on the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leaders accusing them of spreading ‘goondaism’ in Haryana during their rule, Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala on Wednesday said the saffron party’s top leader has been accused of murder and fake encounter.
During his public meetings on Monday and Tuesday, Shah had trained guns at the principal opposition party and said electorate should vote for the BJP to avoid the INLD for its ‘goondaism’.
Dushyant, son of Dabwali MLA Ajay Chautala, is INLD candidate from Uchana Kalan segment of Jind district against veteran Banger leader Birender Singh’s wife Prem Lata, who is BJP candidate, said this at Uchana Kalan while inaugurating his poll office.
On the confusion whether party supremo and his grandfather OP Chautala will campaign in the polls, Dushyant, whose mother Naina Chautala is contesting from Dabwali segment, said, “Chautala saab puray state mein campaigning karengay, unka pura programme banaya jaa raha hain (Om Prakash Chautala will campaign in the entire state and poll managers were busy giving final touches to his public meeting schedule).”
Appealing people to vote for him, Dushyant said Uchana Kalan seat has a special significance for the INLD as it is represented by chief ministerial candidate. He was indirectly referring that their votes would install senior Chautala to the top post.
Replying to accusations by the saffron party leaders, he said if the INLD had run a ‘goonda’ government from 2000 to 2004, the BJP was equally responsible as at that time it was an alliance partner and Prime Minister Narendera Modi, was then in-charge of the state.
