CHB waives affidavit for a dozen services
The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has done away with the requirement of affidavit for nearly 12 services and replaced it with self-certification for the convenience of the residents.Now, there is no need of affidavit for the issuance of no objection certificate (NOC) for obtaining loan and mortgage of the property (before possession) and issuance of duplicate allotment letter or possession slip.
The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has done away with the requirement of affidavit for nearly 12 services and replaced it with self-certification for the convenience of the residents.Now, there is no need of affidavit for the issuance of no objection certificate (NOC) for obtaining loan and mortgage of the property (before possession) and issuance of duplicate allotment letter or possession slip.
The affidavit has been waived off in refund of earnest money and advance deposit before and after allotment.
Besides, the af fidavit is replaced with self certificate in case of transfer of dwelling unit in blood relation or transfer in case of death of allottee/ registered applicant or sub lease holder where no will was left behind by the deceased allottee.
Affidavit is also not required in case of transfer of dwelling unit on the basis of probated will and transfer of dwelling unit in the name of general power of attorney (GPA)/subGPA holder.
There is no need for affidavit in case of transfer of dwelling unit on mutual consent of the allottee and proposed transferee.
Apart from all these services, the CHB has also waived off the issuance of no due certificate, execution of conveyance deed, mutation on the basis of sale deed and permission, approval of plans for additions or alteration under need-based changes.
Officials said the move would help simplify the system.
