Cheema inaugurates classrooms at Ropar school

Punjab education minister Daljit Singh Cheema inaugurated a block of seven classrooms and toilets at Government High School Phoolpur Grewal on Friday.

He also laid the foundation stone of the sport stadium of the school. Speaking on the occasion, Cheema termed the school as the role model for other schools of the state.

He also announced that it would be upgraded to Class 12 from the next academic session and reiterated that the state government was committed for the upliftment of the standard of education in government schools.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee member Ajmer Singh Khera, district education officer, secondary, Dharam Singh, district education officer, primary, Kulwinder Singh were also present.
