Class-12 boy stabbed, assaulted outside school

A group of armed youths attacked a Class 12 boy with sharp-edged weapons and sticks in Raipur Rani near here on Monday, leaving the victim with a stab wounds in the waist and leg.

A group of armed youths attacked a Class 12 boy with sharp-edged weapons and sticks in Raipur Rani near here on Monday, leaving the victim with a stab wounds in the waist and leg.


Sahil, the victim, was attacked outside Government Senior Secondary School, Raipur Rani, and is being treated at General Hospital, Sector 6 here. He is said to be out of danger.

Sahil, resident of Raipur Rani, had stepped out of school about 10.30am, when he was attacked by the youths, said to be 10-12 in number.

In his statement, Sahil has identified two of his attackers, Neeraj and Kamal.

Police said the attack was the fallout of an old enmity and he had a fight with the same group earlier, too. “We have registered a case under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). We are yet to arrest anyone. Investigations are going on,” said sub-inspector Pritam Singh, station house officer of Raipur Rani police station.
