Class-12 CBSE exams rescheduled

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rescheduled the exam dates of some of the subjects for Class-12 examination as the dates were clashing with the poll dates.


According to the revised datesheet available on the CBSE's website, the Class-12 exams to be held on April 9, 10, 12 and 17 will now be held on 25, 21, 19 and 22 April, respectively.

Experts said that the dates for important subjects have not been reshuffled, most of which are scheduled towards the end that is from March 1.

On April 9, the papers of Urdu elective, Music Carnatic vocal, Music Carnatic Instrument Percussion, Music Hindustani vocal, Music Carnatic Instrument Melodic and Percussion, Urdu core was scheduled which now will be held on April 25.

April 10 had papers of subjects including Sociology, Graphic Designs, DTP Card and Multimedia, Business Processing Outsourcing skill. It will now be held on April 21.

Twelve papers were scheduled on April 12 including Philosophy, Entrepreneurship, Office Procedure and Practice, Cash Management and Housekeeping, Communication and Health Nursing, Library Administration and Management, Computer and life insurance Administration, Basic Concept of health and disease and medical terminology, Midwifery, Food services-II, Geospatial Technology and Post-Harvest
Technology and Preservation. All have now been re-scheduled on April 19.

Six papers including Agriculture, Creative writing and Translation Studies, Painting, Graphics, Sculpture, Applied Art have now been changed from original April 17 to April 22 now.

Students can check the details of revised schedule either on the official website of the board.

Regional director RJ Khanderao said: "The dates were revised due to the clash with polling days. The students have been given enough time to adjust to the new schedule," he said.
