Chief minister Virbhadra Singh on Tuesday visited Basal village near Chambaghat in Solan district and inspected the proposed sites for a stadium to be constructed on 47 bighas of land.
He asked the public work department to prepare the estimate of the stadium, which could be used for multipurpose activities, besides constructing a helipad in the village.
He also inspected the proposed athletics ground to be constructed in Government Senior Secondary School, Kandhaghat. The chief minister has asked to prepare a detailed project report of the same as would provide additional space for the children to play.
Later, the CM inspected the proposed new tourist complex at Kiari Ghat. He suggested constructing convention hall.
