CM window opens in Ambala

MLA Aseem Goyal inaugurated CM's Window at a function held at deputy commissioner's office on Thursday. The function coincided with the birth anniversary of Madan Mohan Malviya and the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is being celebrated as 'Sushasan Day'.

Four employees have been deployed at two windows with commuter and internet facility for the registration of complaints. The grievances received would then be forwarded to the CM's office on a daily basis.

A press note issued by the deputy commissioner's office said nine persons registered their complaints on the first day.

Speaking on the occasion, Goyal said the windows aimed at facilitating the prompt resolution to residents' grievances and to provide "maximum governance in a transparent manner".

"This will save people's time and money. They no longer have to go to the Chief Minister's office to register complaints," Goyal said.

Deputy commissioner and DCP have been instructed to interact with people and listen to their grievances every day during fixed hours. They have also been told to visit eight villages every month to listen to residents' problems

Meanwhile, Asseem Goyal also launched 'Safai Abhiyan' from Old Civil Hospital road under 'Savach Bharat' mission.

He exhorted residents to pitch in to make the campaign successful. "We are trying to revive the the defunct waste management plant at Patvi village," he said. Joint Commissioner Kamal Preet Kaur launched the cleanliness drive in Sadar area.
