There was no relief from the cold wave conditions in Punjab and Haryana on Thursday with Hisar reeling at 3.7 degrees Celsius.
Hisar in Haryana registered a three degrees below normal minimum, a MeT Department report said here.
Karnal, too, experienced a cold night at 4.4 deg C, also three notches below normal.
The respective minimum temperatures at Ambala (6.5 C), Narnaul (6.5 C) and Bhiwani (5.6 C) hovered close to normal level.
Amritsar in Punjab had a cold night at 4.5 deg C.
Ludhiana, too, registered a below normal minimum at 6 deg C, while Patiala's low settled at 6.8 deg C.
Chandigarh, where residents woke up to a bright sun shine today, recorded a low of 6.2 deg C.
Meanwhile, as fog lifted from Chandigarh and its surrounding areas, most trains between the City and Delhi were running on time.
As the weather was clear, the flight operations at Chandigarh were normal, an official at the Chandigarh airport, said.
He, however, said that 6-7 commercial flights operating from here to various destinations, stood cancelled for today.
"These were cancelled well in advance by the respective carriers due to operational reasons," he said.
