College students boycott classesto protest against fee hike

Students of various colleges here did not attend classes on Monday in support of the bandh called by the joint action committee of the Students' Federation of India (SFI) and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

The students have been protesting against the imposition of Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) and fee hike by the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) administration and the state government.

A spokesperson of the committee said they would continue their protest till acceptance of their demands.
