Commonwealth Games medal winner calls on Hooda

The silver medal winner in 25-metre rapid fire shooting event in the ongoing 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, shooter Harpeet Singh of Karnal called on chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at his residence in New Delhi on Sunday.

The silver medal winner in 25-metre rapid fire shooting event in the ongoing 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, shooter Harpeet Singh of Karnal called on chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at his residence in New Delhi on Sunday.

Hooda congratulated Harpreet Singh on winning the silver medal and wished him a bright future, an official release said. Singh's mother Amarjeet Kaur and relative Preetpal Singh Pannu were also present on the occasion.

Singh said he had also won two gold medals in the Commonwealth Games-2010 held in New Delhi in 25-metre centre fire pistol in pairs and individual events. The shooter said he would represent the country in the forthcoming World Championship-2014 in Spain and Asian Games-2014 in Korea.
