Reacting to the resignation of state power minister Capt Ajay Yadav, rebel Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Birender Singh has said he was sure that soon excise and taxation minister Kiran Chaudhry would follow suit and leave chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

The veteran Congress leader, who has been running a relentless campaign to replace Hooda as party's CM candidate, said this at Gohana in Sonepat district while addressing party supporters on Tuesday.

Lashing at Hooda's rhetoric of 'Hooda Sarkar Tisri Baar', he said given the current situation of state Congress when old horses were deserting the party, it clearly suggests that the tally would come to single digit in the 90-member assembly during the forthcoming state polls.

Ridiculing Hooda, he said forget his chances of coming to power for third time, he had been mistakenly elevated as CM in second term.

Dubbing Hooda-led Congress a sinking ship, Birender Singh said the ship has got big holes, which were beyond repair and he himself would take decision to quit after much deliberations on its pros and cons.

No giving a direct reply to a query on his induction in the BJP, he said whenever and wherever he would set forth after taking the decision, he would surely get boundless support from all quarters.
