Congress pays tribute to Rajiv Gandhi

Members of t he Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee (CTCC) paid tribute to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary at Raj iv Gandhi Bhawan in Sector 35 on Wednesday.

Members of t he Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee (CTCC) paid tribute to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan in Sector 35 on Wednesday.


Those present on the occasion were former union minister Pawan Bansal, CTCC president BB Bahl, mayor Harphool Kalyan and other leaders Rampal Shar ma, Pardee p Chhabra, Gurbachan Singh, Bhupinder Badheri, Sat Parkash Aggarwal, Lalit Joshi and, Gurbax Rawat.

While speaking on the occasion, Bansal said Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed his life for the unity and integrity of our nation. His contribution and vision for the uplift of downtrodden, bringing new technology in the field of education and IT, laid the strong foundation of developing India for 21st Century.

TRIBUTES PAID IN AMBALA

Glowing tributes were paid to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 23rd death anniversary at a function held at the Congress Bhawan her on Wednesday. District Congress Committee (DCC) president and former minister Nirmal Singh said that late PM had sacrificed his life for the unity and integrity of the country. He said Rajiv Gandhi was the father of country’s infor mation technology revolution.

He exhorted the party workers to get ready for the next assembly elections. DCC (urban) president Harish Shashan and DCC women wing president Suman Mehra also spoke on the occasion.
