The Congress has rejected the justice AN Jindal commission of inquiry set up to look into scams in the education department headed by minister Sikander Singh Maluka, PPCC spokesman Sukhpal Singh Khara said here on Monday.

"Justice Jindal (retd) is known to have very close and warm relations with the Badals and is often seen in their company at social gatherings, including those specially arranged by the (retired) judge for the CM," said Khaira.

"It is nothing but a quid-pro-quid arrangement and a pre-planned strategy to procure a clean chit for Maluka. In return, justice Jindal (retd) would be rewarded with some plum government post," he added.
