CPSs get portfolios

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday allotted portfolios to 21 newly-appointed chief parliamentary secretaries (CPSs).



According to a spokesperson, all CPSs will be attached with the ministers concerned.



The CPSs and their portfolios are:


Sohan Singh Thandal: Irrigation


Chaudhary Nand Lal: Forest and wildlife, labour


Balbir Singh Ghunnas: Jails, tourism, cultural affairs, archives and museums


Des Raj Dhugga: Animal husbandry, fisheries and dairy development


Harmeet Singh Sandhu: Public works department


Mantar Singh Brar: Rural development and panchayats


Mohinder Kaur Josh: Medical education and research


Amarjeet Singh Sahi: Revenue and rehabilitation


Avinash Chander: Higher education


KD Bhandari: Attached with the chief minister


Inderbir Singh Bolaria: Education


Amarpal Singh Bonny: Technical education


Gurcharan Singh Babbehali: Agriculture


Virsa Singh Valtoha: Water supply and sanitation


NK Sharma: Industry and commerce


F Nisara Khatoon: Social security, women and child development


Navjot Kaur Sidhu: Health and family welfare


Parkash Chand Garg: Food and civil supply


Pawan Kumar Tinu: Sports and youth services, SC/BC welfare


Sarup Chand Singla: Excise and taxation


Som Parkash: Local government.
