A meeting of Congress Working Committee (CWC), the top decision-making body of the party, will be held on June 4 to review the political and economic situation in the country, sources said.

The meeting of the CWC, the first after the assembly polls in five states, will take stock of the party's performance in the assembly polls in Punjab, Goa and Uttar Pradesh where the party lost while winning with a narrow margin in Uttarakhand, the sources said on Tuesday night.

The CWC, to be chaired by congress president Sonia Gandhi and attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and all top leaders of the party, will review the report prepared by the AK Antony committee, appointed by the Congress president to go into reasons for the party's poor show in the assembly polls.
