Delhi-Lahore bus meets with accident in Kapurthala

Delhi bound Lahore-Delhi bus on Tuesday morning met with minor accident at around 11:45 pm near Subhanpur village falling under Kapurthala district, around 30 kms from Jalandhar city.

Delhi bound Lahore-Delhi bus met with a minor accident on Tuesday morning at around 11.45 am near Subhanpur village falling under Kapurthala district, around 30 kms from Jalandhar city.

According to SHO Subhanpur, Sukhpal Singh, bus collided with the Punjab police gypsy vehicle that escorts it while driver of the escort put emergency breaks.

No major injury has been reported among more than 35 passengers who were travelling, says the SHO. Two Punjab police cops who were injured in the accident have been admitted to a private hospital in Subhanpur. The injured have been identified as inspector Manoj Kumar and head constable Bhupinder Singh.

Due to accident, the bus engine developed some mechanical fault and bus could not operate till the filing of the news.
