The Punjab government has directed all its departments to furnish the status report of all such court cases in which the chief secretary has been made party, or such cases in which directions have been issued to the Punjab government or where the state government has been directed for compliance of the court orders or any other case which is under process in any commission.

Announcing this here on Tuesday, an official spokesperson of the general administration department said all administrative secretaries had been told to ensure the compliance and send the report to the general administration department (monitoring cell) on the prescribed pro forma by October 18. He said the hard copy as well as e-mail of the requisite information had also been sought.

The spokesperson said the state government was monitoring the status of each and every case in the courts so that there was no lapse on part of the government to comply with the directions of the courts.

The spokesperson said the departments had been instructed to send such reports on a monthly basis by seventh of every month. The departments have also been told to furnish the details of the nodal officer and law officer of the department, their mobile numbers and e-mail IDs.
