Dera refutes military training allegations

The Dera Sacha Sauda on Monday refuted the allegations of “military training” against it.

Referring to the intelligence report, dera spokesman Aditya Inssan said that instead the dera was active in social work and had donated 40,000 units of blood to the army.

He said the dera volunteers had worked hard to douse a fire in Darjeeling in April 2013, and when a factory collapsed in Jalandhar, the dera volunteers worked with the National Disaster Response Force.

“When five-year-old Prince had fallen into a bore-well, our volunteers had helped in rescuing him; when disaster struck Kedarnath, our volunteers worked alongside the paramilitary, and during Srinagar floods the volunteers helped the army,” Insaan said.

According to him, the dera has been facing sinister designs of the drug mafia and the vested criminal-political forces for long. “Why those who had given a call to assassinate Guruji (Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh) have not been booked?” Insaan asked.

“We are prepared for a zillion trials by fire, for we know who we are and shall not be deterred in our humanitarian pursuits despite such attempts,” he said, adding that truth and humanitarianism needed no approval and they let their work speak, which is why people flocked to the dera to quit addiction and evil and gain spiritual joys.
