Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim appears in Sirsa court

Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim appeared in a local court on Saturday in connection with the Sadhvi sexual exploitation case.

Ram Rahim was scheduled to appear in the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court at Panchkula through video-conferencing from Sirsa also in connection with the Ram Chander Chhatrapati murder case and Ranjit Singh murder cases, but hearing in only the sexual exploitation case could be held.

The dera chief had returned here late Friday night from Gurgaon where the premier of his upcoming film ‘MSG: Messenger of God’ had to be cancelled in view of law and order issues.

The Dera chief, who is in eye of storm for his upcoming movie, reached at the Sirsa court amid heavy security at 9.20am and left the premises at 11.30am. The court has fixed January 31 as the next date of hearing in all the above said three cases through video-conferencing from Sirsa court.

The district administration had made eloborate security arrangements for his appearance as hundreds of Dera supporters thronged the area near the court complex, causing suspicion of law and order problem.
