Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday gave the nod for the appointment of Dr Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal as the chairperson of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB).
Dr Dhaliwal, currently the principal of Guru Nanak College for Girls, Muktsar. A PhD in home science extension education, Dr Dhaliwal started her career as an assistant professor at Home Science College, Kaoni, and also worked as associate professor, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Faridkot, before being elevated as the principal of Guru Nanak College for Girls in 2002.
She was also the officiating deputy director of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Faridkot, for a year, besides being a member of committees of the Panjab University senate and syndicate. Dr Dhaliwal was also awarded a certificate of distinction by the Indian Non-Government Organisation Association.
