Yesteryear superstar Dharmendra, who is ready to release his next film, early next week, has been showing interest in making more movies of late.
And, he’s elated to see the revival of his production house. So far, the banner has only made films starring him, his sons Sunny and Bobby, or all of them together.
Now, he’s looking forward to working with other big stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Dharam says his plans to cast the two are still nascent, but he’s sure that neither will decline his offer.
“In between, the banner had a very bad phase. Now, it’s doing very well. I’m looking forward to working with Shah Rukh and Salman. They have great love for me because I treat them like my own sons,” he says.
However, the actor insists that he doesn’t want to put the warring Khans in an uneasy situation while they are busy. “They are booked for the next five years, so I haven’t asked them yet. I know they will say yes, but I won’t approach them now because it will disturb their schedules,” says the 77-year-old.
In fact, SRK had turned up for the music promotion of the Deol’s latest film outing, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, and shaken a leg with the veteran actor. Even Aamir Khan was seen sharing the same stage with SRK at the event, despite their obvious professional and personal differences.
Though Dharmendra is busy promoting his upcoming film, that releases on June 7, he’s also taking out time to shortlist scripts. “I read some (script) everyday to see which ones can be developed. I spend time watching films too, so I can come up with some ideas,” he says.
Meanwhile, SRK has just wrapped up his schedule of Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express with Deepika Padukone, while Salman Khan is shooting for brother Sohail Khan’s next, Mental.
