Kangra MP Shanta Kumar has said that dialyses facility has been made fully functional at Vivekananda Medical Research Trust (VMRT) Hospital in Palampur.

The BJP leader, who is also chairman of VMRT, revealed this after a meeting of the trustees on Wednesday.
“People, who earlier had to face difficulty due to non-availability of the dialyses facility in the region, can now avail this facility at Vivekananda Hospital at low cost,” said Shanta Kumar, adding that three dialyses machines have been installed at the hospital.
He added the trauma facilities were also available at the hospital as a neurosurgeon has been appointed at the hospital.

“The trust is making full efforts to start MRI facility in the hospital and it will be made available within next three months,” said Shanta.

“Besides, a nursing college will be started in the hospital by next year while cardiac disease treatment facility will also be started very soon,” he added.
