District-level agri training camps from March 14

The Punjab government will organise district-level agriculture training camps from March 14 to April 12.

Disclosing this on Sunday, agriculture director Mangal Singh Sandhu said experts from Punjab Agricultural University would impart knowledge about latest agricultural techniques to farmers so they could reap maximum benifit.

He said a series of camps would start from Rakhra in Patiala on March 14, Faridkot and Mukatsar on March 15, Nawanshahr and Jalandhar on March 21, Jandiala (Amritsar) and Tarn Taran on March 22, Fazilka and Ferozepur on March 28, Bhatinda and Mansa on March 29, Ropar and Mohali on April 2, Ludhiana and Moga on April 3, Sangrur and Barnala on April 4, Pathankot and Gurdaspur on April 5, Hoshiarpur and Kapurthala on April 11 and Fatehgarh Sahib on April 12.

He said latest agricultural machinery, equipment and implements would be displayed at these camps by government and private agencies.
