The Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate from the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat Gulkirat Kaur Panag went for door-to-door campaigning in parks of Sectors 43 and 44 on Saturday.

Gul thereafter lent AAP volunteers a hand by being part of a human banner at the Labour Chowk.

Later, Gul, who is well known for her work with causes of gender justice and equality, participated in women nukkad meeting where she impressed upon them the need for them to take an active interest in the elections.

She said, “It is your fundamental responsibility to play a more active role in the political process and to not allow your vote to be taken for granted, by self-serving professional politicians.”

Gul chose to take a Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) bus from Sector 43 to reach Sector 17. She also interacted with the members of the Sector-48 motor market.

Later, she participated in a conclave organised by a city-based specialised language and competitive career trainers.

“Be someone who is irreplaceable, be unique” said Gul who guided students to be what they want to be and not what others want them to be and also advised them to have their own philosophy in order to become an achiever.
