A day after Rohtak deputy commissioner Shekar Vidyarthi and SP Shasankh Anand urged passengers to come forward and get their statements recorded in the Rohtak girls’ eve-teasing case that occurred on Friday, five women submitted affidavits before police on Tuesday.

Three of them have identified themselves by same name as Bimla, wife of Jitender; Bimla, wife of Jai Singh; Bimla wife of Ishwar Singh. Two others are Santosh Devi and Sama Kaur from Thanakhas village of Sonepat district.

Bimla Devi from Sisanagarhi village claimed that it was at her seat that girls and boys started quarrelling. She claimed that accused were nowhere at fault as they just were trying to get his seat vacated from girls, while the latter opened attack on them.

She showed her bus ticket to the mediapersons, while the other three could not produce any bus ticket to support their claim of being present in the state roadways bus at the time of incident.
