Fatehgarh Sahib: Man killed in road mishap

A 50-year-old man was killed on Friday, when the motorcycle he was travelling by, was hit by another vehicle.

The victim has been identified as Amrik Singh, a resident of Talania village. The police said Jagpinder Singh, the nephew of the deceased, stated in his complaint that his uncle was returning home after he took a lift from a motorcyclist.

Jagpinder stated that his uncle fell on the road after the bike was hit by an unidentified vehicle from behind. He said his uncle's head got crushed under the rear tyres of the unidentified vehicle, resulting in immediate death. The driver of the vehicle managed to escape.

A case of negligent driving has been registered against the unidentified driver, and the police are making efforts to nab the accused.
