Haryana’s chief parliamentary secretary Ram Kishan Fauji informed the Punjab and Haryana high court on Tuesday that the compact disc (CD) released by Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), allegedly showing him making negotiations with some persons for getting change of land use (CLU) permission for some agricultural land in Gurgaon, seems doctored.

Hence the original CD along with the original recording device should be sent for forensic examination to an independent Hyderabad-based forensic science laboratory namely Truth Labs, Fauji’s counsel informed the court.

The court was apprised that the Truth Labs’ reports are authentic and various courts across India accept its reports because of its expertise in the field.

Taking Fauji’s reply on record, the court issued notice of motion to the Haryana government for filing its reply before the next date of hearing on August 29. The CD allegedly shows Fauji seeking `5 crore in lieu of getting the change of land use (CLU) permission for a land in Gurgaon and was released by INLD leaders in September last year.

It was on January 20 that Haryana lokayukta justice Pritam Pal (retd) had recommended registration of a criminal case against Fauji on a reference received by his office from the state government under Section 8 (1) of the Haryana Lokayukta Act.

Fauji had approached the high court challenging lokayukta’s judgment and the high court had directed the Haryana government to first investigate the CD for its authenticity and not to register first information report (FIR) till then.
