This is a song he will definitely pen in the time to come. Renowned playback singer Mohit Chauhan, who got married to Dehradun girl Pararthana at a Barog hotel on June 30, hosted a reception party in his native town Nahan on Saturday night.
The reception, organised at the SFDA Hall, was the first time the couple made a public appearance in Nahan.
Chauhan, who made his musical debut with his band Silk Route in 1998, was at his best and took the blessing of every guest. The singer's love for Himachali folk songs, which has often been reflected in his own compositions, was evident. The party went on till late night with a special troupe performing Himachali folk songs.
"My wedding was a very private affair for close family and friends, so I had decided to hold a reception in my native town," Chauhan said.
The singer wore a grey-coloured suit, while Pararthana was dressed in a Rajasthani Lehnga.
Born to Krishana and BK Rana, the singer is looking forward to start a new phase in his life as well as his career. After spending a few more days in his native town, he will fly back to Mumbai.
The singer is going to release his third solo album, comprising an English and a Himachali number.
