Five districts get new SSPs

The Punjab government on Thursday transferred five Indian Police Service (IPS) and four Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers, reshuffling the senior superintendents of police (SSPs) of SAS Nagar, Ferozepur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala and Bathinda districts, besides the police district of Khanna, and changing the portfolio of director general of police (DGP) GD Pandey from Home Guards to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited.

The Punjab government on Thursday transferred five Indian Police Service (IPS) and four Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers, reshuffling the senior superintendents of police (SSPs) of SAS Nagar, Ferozepur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala and Bathinda districts, besides the police district of Khanna, and changing the portfolio of director general of police (DGP) GD Pandey from Home Guards to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited.

Another DGP, SK Sharma, has been given the additional charge of Home Guards along with human resource development and director, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur.

Inspector general (IG) Lok Nath has been appointed IG, zonal-2, Jalandhar; Gurmeet Singh Bhullar, SSP, SAS Nagar; Hardial Singh Mann, SSP, Ferozepur; Gurmeet Singh Chauhan, SSP, Patiala; Inder Mohan Singh, SSP, Bathinda; Gurpreet Singh Gill, SSP, Khanna; Gurmeet Singh Randhawa, SSP, Fatehgarh Sahib; and Sukhwant Singh Gill, commandant, 4th commando battalion, SAS Nagar.
