Clearing the air around the "mysterious" death of the former additional advocate general, Haryana, Anuradha Bali alias Fiza, estranged wife of former deputy chief minister, Haryana, Chander Mohan, the police have ruled out any possibility of foul play.
Armed with the medical opinion of the board of doctors who had conducted the postmortem of deceased, SSP SAS Nagar, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said, "As per the experts the cause of Fiza's death is ascertained to be poisoning due to an insecticide Aluminum Phosphide, in presence of ethyl alcohol. But till date there is no evidence pointing towards any foul play in her death."
Bhullar, who was addressing the media on Tuesday, added, "After receiving the detailed post mortem report including the viscera report, we had sought few clarities regarding the finding of the chemical analysis. As per the opinion of the medical board majority of deaths due to aluminium phosphide poisoning are suicidal in nature, can be accidental and rarely homicidal."
He added, "The medical analysis clarifies that the chances of death due to aluminium phosphide being administered forcibly to anyone without his/her knowledge are very remote and the same holds true for poison to be given concealed or served in alcohol or any other drink."
Bhullar also said, "The investigations into the death till date have not revealed any forcible entry to the house nor are there any external injuries or signs of struggle on the body. Even the doctors opine that possibility of administering this poison forcibly, are remote."
"But, we are not closing the investigations. The special investigating team will study the medical evidences and corroborate with the finding and evidences collected by them. We would also be constructing the scene of her death" he added.
Highly decomposed body of Fiza was recovered from her residence on August 6. The medical report of the pathology department of a Rajindra Government Medical College in Patiala remained "inconclusive" as the "decomposed" heart of former assistant advocate general, Anuradha Bali alias Fiza, failed to put light on the reasons leading to her "mysterious" death.
