Providing no immediate relief to Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who filed an appeal against court's earlier order of CBI probe into forced castration of his followers, the Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday adjourned the hearing till February 25.

The dera head had filed an appeal on Wednesday against the single-judge order of the high court.

The Central Bureau of Investigation, too, following the directions, had booked the dera head on Wednesday.

On December 23, the single-judge bench of justice K Kannan had handed over the probe to the CBI and asked it to register a FIR against the dera head on the complaint of Fatehabad resident Hansraj Chauhan, a former dera follower. Seeking a CBI probe, Chauhan had approached the high court, alleging that 400 dera followers had been castrated on the dera premises in 2002 on the promise that it would lead to realisation of God.
