Former CEO Parminder Singh Sehgalof Emaar MGF booked with others

City police booked ten people on Saturday including a leading businessman for cheating and misappropriating funds of a company after a complaint was registered by its director.

The managing members of Premium Acres Infratech Private Limited, a real estate company in Sector 17, have been booked following a complaint by Sanjay Jain, who claimed to be its director. Jain had filed the complaint in a local court, after which a case was registered.

The people who have been booked include former CEO of Emaar MGF Land Ltd Parminder Singh Sehgal, who was once Jain's partner in the company, CA Kapil Aggarwal, BL Aggarwal, Alok Jain, Ashpinder Singh Sehgal and Kamal Aggarwal.

A case has been registered at Sector-17 police station under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust) 467 (forgery), 470 (forged document), 420 (cheating) 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

Inspector at Sector-17 police station Uday Pal said, "A case has been registered following the directions of the court. The statements of the booked persons will be recorded as the investigations proceed."

"Some complaints between the Jain and the booked persons are also pending," added Pal.

Sehgal could not be contacted despite repeated attempts.
