Former MLA and founder of Prof Mohan Singh Memorial Foundation Jagdev Singh Jassowal passed away on Monday at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in Ludhiana.
Jassowal, 80, who is often referred to as 'Baba Bohar' of Punjab and Punjabi culture was struggling since last fifteen days for life at DMCH.
According to sources at the hospital, with advancing time his health was worsening as his kidneys and liver was no more functional. Talking to his personal doctor, Dr. Raju Singh Chinna, he said, "He has been diagnosed with failure of his kidneys and liver which has resulted into multiple other health problems and infections. He was not even able to eat properly and was restoring to very soft and liquid diet. And more shockingly, with every new day, the health is going down".
