Four arrested with 1.5kg opium milk
The Panchkula detective police on Saturday recovered 1.5kg opium milk from four people, whom were arrested from Sector 15. The suspects also included a woman. All the four arrested people were sent in police remand of five days on Sunday.

On Saturday, according to information, the detective staff chased a Honda City car that was reportedly coming from Maharashtra and police had tip-off that the occupants were carrying opium milk. The police followed the car, which went to Sector 15 and was parked outside LIG house no. 2046. The police raided the house and arrested the suspects.
The suspects included a Delhi resident, Anita; Yaqub Mohhammad, a resident of Maharashtra; Jitender, a resident of Jalalabad; and Chetan, a resident of Malout. The detective staff searched the car and recovered 1.5kg opium milk.
The detective staff were in civil clothes. Heated arguments were exchanged between police and the suspects.
A 10gm quantity of opium costs around Rs 2,000.
Deepak Kumar, incharge, detective staff, said they recovered 1.5kg opium milk from the accused. This amount of milk could manufacture around 7kg opium, he added. During the investigation, Chetan said he was staying in a rented accommodation in Sector 15 for the past many years and Yaqub and Anita used to supply opium milk to him. Chetan and Jitender used to sell opium in market.
