Four children among 7 injured in road accident

A total of seven persons, including four children, were injured after a Maruti car in which they were traveling rammed into a Haryana Roadway bus from the rear side near Raipur Rani on Sunday.

The incident took place around 4pm. According to police, Jagvinder Singh, his wife Shama Rani, sister in-law Nisha along with four children - Jaspreet Singh alias Prince, Saniya,Abhishek and Ankush - were going to attend a marriage function in Barwal when the accident took place.

Jagvinder Singh is driver by profession. Rakesh Kumar, husband of victim Nisha, said Jagvinder was driving the car when the bus, which was moving ahead of them, suddenly applied break and the car rammed into the rear side of the bus.

Police was informed and the victims were rushed to the Sector-6 government hospital from where Shama was referred to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). Condition of other victims is said to be stable.
