Four killed as mobike hits tree

Four youths were killed when the Bullet motorcycle they were riding crashed into a roadside tree near Samundarian village falling under Nurpur Bedi police station of Rupnagar district on Sunday night.


The mishap occurred around 10pm on the Kahanpuri Khuhi-Bhanglan road. Villagers spotted the bodies on Monday morning and informed the police.

The deceased have been identified as Satnam Singh and Shamsher Singh of Asalatpur village, Ranjit Singh of Gursewal village and Mangi of Mankoli village. They were in the age group of 20 to 22 years.

The bodies were handed over to their families after a post-mortem, which was conducted at Ananpdur Sahib.
